Co-ordinated sets, or “co-ords”, have been around for a while now and it doesn’t seem like the trend is going away any time soon. Whether it’s online shopping websites or famous high street stores, everyone’s churning out their own version of the style. Personally, I’m a big fan of co-ords, not only because they require little to zero styling, but also because you can take apart the different pieces and pair them with existing pieces in your wardrobe.

As summer has officially commenced, I thought I should style a season-appropriate set of co-ords for today’s post.

As you probably know by now, my wardrobe is filled with crop tops. I haven’t really explored the new front tie-up options much, so I decided to try it out this time. I was drawn to this particular set of co-ords because of its striking tropical print and easy-breezy silhouette – just what you need for your next summer cruise or beach resort vacation!

On a lazy day, I would just opt for flip-flops or flat espadrilles with this crop-top-and-culottes combo, but I wanted to dress it up a bit, so I chose my black strappy wedge heels. As for the jewellery, I donned a bright neckpiece that would perfectly complement the colour palette of the clothes. The large gold hoop earrings matched the gold cuff bracelet, and I added on a teal gemstone ring to complete the look.

Coming to the hair and makeup, I stuck to the tropical summer theme and opted for a bright pink lip. The eye makeup was kept minimal with a natural, brown-ish smokey look and well-defined eyebrows. I wore my hair straight, with a braid on one side.
